Today we woke to bright sunshine for a day off in Guernsey. First task was to refuel the diesel as we are leaving at 5am tomorrow morning. Filled up the diesel can to discover it is leaking. Gaffer taped it up and put in locker. Went off to hire a bike for the day and immediately cycled to chandlers to buy a new can. I then cycled round Guernsey. The weather was glorious and the wild flowers spectacular, particularly the wild honey suckle and fuschias. There were lots of bumble bees and sparrows. It seems both are thriving on Guernsey unlike at home.

On getting back to the boat transferred the diesel into the new can and cleared up the diesel spilt into the locker. I needed a shower afterwards to try and get rid of the smell.
Tomorrow we are off to France.
