Sue, Chris, Brigitte and I took the train from Bastia to Corte high in the mountains. The weather has become overcast so the snow clad mountains were covered with clouds. The narrow gauge railway winds its way up the mountains and through the valleys. Corte was briefly the capital of Corsica and has a large citadel towering over the town. Unfortunately today it was Monday and closed. The town is full of artesian shops and cafes with old buildings in cobbled streets. We are out of season but here most were open.
Chris and Brigitte fly home tomorrow and we welcome Alison and David.
