#125 - Silva (Romanian) - Forgot to mention from two days ago. What is the worst thing you want to here on a plane after landing?....clapping! That is what we got when we landed in Bucharest. Everyone clapped when we landed. What the? When you hear this you look at your partner and think about the past three hours you spent on this plane and what airline did we just fly with for the first and last time. Anyways. Beks ankle has blown up so she has been resting ankle all day. So in the army they say never leave a man behind. Well I am not in the army...haha. So in between looking after Bek I popped out for a few hours to see Bran Castle. It is literally just down the road and the pic above is our view from accommodation. It was cool. It is a lot smaller than expected and obviously Bram Stoker used his imagination to create a castle rather than basing it on this. Nevertheless it is great to see and there is a lot of history to it. Cool little secret stair cases and a door at the bottom of hill which must lead all the way up. Interestingly it was given to the Habsburg's in early 1900s and after communism in Romania they claimed it back so it is still owned by the current heir of the Habsburgs...Dominic. I did not realise they were still around? After that I returned to tend to my ailing wife.
