Big drive yesterday after a slight change of plans. Arrived at Douglas-Daly, a conservation area a bit further on that our original planned camp. Had been told about this area by another traveller and decided our original destination, Edith Falls, could be done after we left Darwin. Today was spent at the Zebra Rock Mine Camp. This was a basic camp but famous for its patterned rock only found in this location. They also have famous fish and chips. The local cobbler (catfish) is cooked up daily and after a while without grease we all loved it. Was great to spend the night again with Tracey & Brad. The last 4 days have been spent at Lake Argyle Resort. This is a beautiful spot with the park overlooking the enormous man made Lake Argyle. The resort is also famous for its infinity pool, which while beautiful was absolutely freezing even in 30 degree heat. We spent time visiting the Durak family homestead. The last few days have been spent in Kununurra. Along the water, watching crocs creep up the banks each night. This is a really interesting area with so much water from the Ord River. We spent time around the pool but also visited the Kelly's k*** look out, with great panoramic views of the town.
