Arrived at Pardoo Station yesterday after leaving Karijini. Did some other lookouts in the national park during our stay but glad to be off the dirt roads and heading out. Into Karijini today and camping in the national park. We were here by 10 and decided to pack lunch and walk into Dales Gorge. We thought maybe a walk to a couple of the look outs and hopefully into the gorge at one point to see circular pool. But after getting to circular pool Tully was still keen and loving the challenging walk up and down rock faces, over water and through bushes. Slow start savouring the last few hours in Paraburdoo. Really liked the town feeling at home with its similarities to a military base. Into Tom Price just before lunch. More amazing scenery with the caravan park at the base of Mt Nameless. A busier town than Paraburdoo but still completely centred around mining. We managed to catch a look at the kilometre plus long trains carrying iron ore moving through town. Keen to get into Karijini tomorrow

So we left Beasley for Paraburdoo. This was a real highlight for all of us as Jarrod spent the first few years of his life here when Bev & Haydn lived here working in the mine. So amazing to find their old house and tour the town. We ended up being the only ones in the great caravan park. Made primarily as overflow for the miners the park has a few caravan sites but the amenities are brilliant. I say that because we did five load of washing for free. So while...

Left our free camp with the intent to make it to Beasley River Rest Area, another free camp. This turned out to be a great spot on the banks of another dry river. Was a smallish camp area and by dinner was quite full. We had started a communal camp fire and enjoyed getting to know some other travellers. Tully had a ball with some other girls his age so everyone was happy!
