After Rainbow Beach we headed to Noosa. Stayed at Koala's, definatley no tas cute or clean as the picture at the top of this page. Walked through the National Park, along some beaches (inc a nudist) and back to Noosa Heads. Saw a Koala at the top of a tree, swaying about in the wind. Nossa seemed wuite expensive and not really for backpackers.
Headed on to Brisnae and spent the afternoon shopping and catching up on paperwork stuff before meeting up with Wes (a friend of karen's friend Susie from home). he had very kindly agreed to let us stay at his in Brisbane. Ended up he was going to his friend Curtis' beach house for the weekend and he said we could go too! We were so so so lucky, turns out it was an 800, 000 dollar beach house 100m fromt eh beach at King's Cliff. It was gorgeous! Curtis had only used it once before and everything was brand new. It was in a complex so it had a private pool, sauna. Or bed sheets were so white, putting our white things next to them made us feel really dirty!! Arrived late Friday night so just had a few drinks with the boys; Wes, his flatmate Tom and Curtis.
Didn;t even leave the flat all day Sat, it was raining and enjoyed having the luxuries of a house. We slept, ate well (thanks to the boys) and watched tele. Ended up watching rugby matches. Eventually left the resort the next day and took a walk along the beach, it was a gorgeous day. Left the unit at lunchtime and the boys dropped us off in Surfer's Paradise! Came to the conclusion that it ain't no paradise! Found it very tacky and just like Magaluff! The place we stayed in was awful too....I had a plastic matress! Very depressing after living it up for the weekend. Went to the beach which is something with the high rise hotels just lined up along the beach, maybe if we had been staying in one of those I would have felt different.
