After Cairns, booked out ticket on the Greyhound to take us down the east coast to Sydney! First stop after Cairns was Mission beach and stayed at Scotty's beach house. Quite a nice chilled place and had Jill and Jo for company. Didn't do much except sunbathe and eat..what a life.

Next day headed off to Townsville, booked in for 3 nights but not sure why! Nothing really much in Townsville itself....we went to the aquarium and saw lots and lots of fish we missed when we were diving..like nemo. The best thing about Townsville was having a dorm room to ourselves and hiring a TV for $5 a night...neighbours and Australian idol, great. Caught the ferry to Magnetic Island one fo the days...we were just gonna chill on one of the beaches but the weather wasn't good so we ended up hiring a mini moke to tour about in. It was like a mini jeep thing. Our moke was called Speedy Gonzales....not suite with us driving it. Took us so long to get used to the gears and stearing the thing. Had a great laugh though. The lady gave us 60km limit for the day saying there was no way we would do that, we managed about 55km! By the end of the day the roadwork traffic control guys were waving to us, and laughing at us.

By the time we got back from magnetic Island we had new room mates.. Jo and Jill! Poor Jo had caught bed bugs, what a mess she was in, fingers crossed we'll stay clear of them.
