Arrived safely in Santiago after a four hour flight delay in Auckland - never mind, you win some and lose some. Had a nice chat (?) with the taxi driver on the way from the airport. With his pidgin English and my sparrow Spanish we cobbled a few sentences together. At least I understood him, whether he understood me is doubtful. Tomorrow I meet up with the people with whom I will be travelling for the next three weeks. Now going to eat, probably be Burger King, beefburger is farily universal lanaguage. Unless I brave a restaurant. That will be an adventure not knowing what I am eating. Take care
