Just arrived in Calgary and will spend the next three days visiting the Calgary Stampede. I've been reliably informed that I could go there every day for a fortnight and not see it all but I'm sure I will enjoy it. The cruise down from Seward to Vancouver was interesting. The scenery was fabulous as were the glaciers we saw. However, having seen the glaciers in South America I think I have been spoilt and have yet to see any that compare with the Merino Glacier ...

Sat. 14th June Flew to Fairbanks from Boston. Fairbanks is about 80 miles from the Artic Circle and didn't have time to get north of the Artic Circle but other things await. I would like to report that my first night in the great wilderness that is Alaska was spent in a tent in the middle of nowhere fending of bears and wolves. I could say that but it's not quite correct. Spent the night in the Hilton, a nice hotel with all mod cons - but not quite up to its Eur...

Now in Cape Cod. Move on to Boston tomorrow. I have spent three weeks in Florida, playing golf, swimming and bargain hunting instead of croc. hunting. Quite a culture shock.. Take care out there.

Arrived in Florida. Staying at a condo. surrounded by a golf course, swimming pools, beach and shopping malls. Vry strange not to be packing up and travelling every few days. Will be here until end of May then fly to Cape Cod. Then hope to take off around Maine and Vermont and also Niagra. Then the big adventure to Alaska for an overland and then a cruise back to Vancouver. The aventure continues and it is still great fun....
