Today is a fair bit warmer than yesterday. We started the day with some work for school. As soon as we had finished that we went down to the beach where Dad went for a walk around the beach and on a boardwalk. At the same time Mum, Fraser and I went for an explore over some rocks. We found one lizard, a crab, sea snails and plenty of little fish. We went home for lunch and then returned at the beach for a kayak, boogie board and some bodysurfing.

We left Esperance at 7 o’clock but on arrival at Le Grand Beach found a queue of campers greater than the number of sites being vacated today.  So on to Lucky Bay where we were able to get a campsite for a few nights.  We then went to the beach and discovered a coffee van that sets up most days just near our campsite.  Bush camping in a National Park with all the trimmings!  After we had a drink Mum had a read while Fraser and I played on the beach. Today we drove from Kalgoorlie-Boulder to Esperance where we are staying for one night until we head of to Cape le Grand National Park. On the way here we stopped at Norseman where we also went through on the way to Kalgoorlie-Boulder. When we arrived at Esperance we went to a smaller caravan park but they were booked out so we had to go to a much bigger one which is the one we are at now. After breakfast we drove to the Superpit lookout just out of Boulder.  This is Australia’s largest open cut mine.  We then had a tour of the Royal Flying Doctor Service base at the local airport.  They had 2 planes with one already out working and the other getting ready to take off.  We then had a look along Hannan Street and visited Hannan’s mine (a bit like Sovereign Hill but much smaller and self-guided) where we did some gold panning.  Paddy Hanna...

Not exactly sure on the time as there are a couple of changes travelling from SA to WA we got going early and were soon driving along Australia’s longest straight piece of road,{ 146.6 kilometres long. } We stopped at Fraser Range for a couple of photos for you know who and then on to Norseman where we picked up Mum’s Maggie Beer goodies from the Post Office.
