Despite being the end of a long weekend (Labour Day) we were required to leave our site at Emu Point so we headed to Middleton Beach a couple of kilometres away. Here's a photo of the day Mum and Dad stayed here in their tent in May 2001! Glenys the code to the family bathroom is still the same - and we have it!!!!! :-)

Well there goes summer and a couple of showers arrived to confirm it. More markets (this time at the Harbourside boat sheds) and of course a coffee. We enjoyed a walk around Emu Point in the afternoon and finished the day with dinner at the Squid Shack.

Today we went to the farmers market in the morning. Later we went to the National Anzac Centre and other sites in the Albany Heritage Park. The interactive screens and historic photos were very interesting about the World War 1. We also walked along the Convey Walk. We got to see where the ships that transported 42,000 men left for Gallipoli. The centre opened in a November 2014 exactly 100 years after the soldiers embarked for the Middle East and Gallipoli.

Today we travelled to Albany. When I got there I was surprised how big the city was. It wasn't actually very far from Bremer Bay to Albany. We went into the city centre where we posted our school work and then visited the information centre to get some brochures on activities and attractions.

Today we did another visit to the beach in between rubles of thunder. Dad caught s few fish which he enjoyed later. That night we went out for tea at the only restaurant in town. I forgot to tell you that Bremer Bay has been a popular spot for farmers to have a holiday for over fifty years.
