We head to Byron Bay to watch the Gorman kids participate in a Nippers surf life saving carnival. They compete for the Ballina SLSC and did well between showers of rain and stormy skies. We watch the last event in the rain having enjoyed some time in the surf ourselves. Plenty of schoolies in town as we browse the shops in the afternoon and then return to Skennars Head for a tropical downpour to end the day with a great lightning show.
