We find on the third attempt a very good anchorage in 'Livardi Beach'. The other anchorages had been too windy for comfort. From the bay we view the main hilltop town that cascades down into the fishing port of Skala. On top of the hill is a fortress and Greek church, with it's white walls and blue domed roof. We leave Rhodes at 7am. The wind is stong with a lumpy sea, some of our group aren't traveling well so we stop at the small barren island of Tilos. We tour Ephesus with a very good guide Sinisi. We were both here in the 80s and MB again in 90s. We are amazed how much has been excavated. It is certainly one of the best archeological sites in the world. What was very new for us is the reconstruction of the seven terrace houses which must have been spectacular.
