Tuesday 30th August Not much was ever going to happen today – well not planned anyway. We went to the market at the top end of town to get some fish for dinner tonight and ended up with a bag full of fruit and vegetables, wine and suntan cream and focaccia. Monday 29th August In one months’ time we will be home! This morning we went into the town which is about a 15 minute walk along the seafront from our apartment. Sunday 28th August We woke late and had homegrown breakfast. No electric kettle as the Italians don’t use such a thing instead boiled water in a pot just like they do! Nynke came up to see a plug in the basin that Jannie broke – not really but it broke and wouldn’t let the dirty water out. The plumber is coming tomorrow? Saturday 27th August Today we drove from Cap D’Antibes to Levanto a distance of about 300kms and it took us about 4.5 hours. Today was really tunnels and viaducts. We didn’t count the viaducts but we did go through 219 tunnels. The shortest was 75m the longest we think was 3212m. There were lots and lots of them. In fact it made the reading of the map very difficult as sometimes we were only out in the sun for as little as 20 seconds. We weren’t on the ro...
