After a weeks rain, we were looking forward to some serious sunbathing action! Or at least Rach was. Just our luck that it pissed it down for the entire time we were there. We met two Geordie girls (Jen & Jo) on the ferry going over there, who we had dinner with one night and met for drinks in the only bar on the island. To Jamie's amazement, Jo liked football and had a season ticket to Newcastle so still no getting away from watching Liverpool that week!!

The highlight of Rachel's time there was finding beans on toast in the café down the road, with real English tea. We had planned to go up in the cable car to the top of the mountain as there are meant to be amazing views, but couldn't due to the rain. We also missed out on visiting the waterfalls as it was raining.

We visited an aquarium which wasn't worth the money, but wasted a rain soaked afternoon. They put on a 3D show which lasted 5minutes and had no storyline or relevance to the aquarium? Very strange!!

We decided to one day to take a taxi over to the shopping centre and the harbor, and on our way, the taxi ran a red light and crashed into a 4x4. Luckily he wasn't going very fast! (Only a minor collision so no stressing please) We did get a free taxi ride out of it however. All in all, our time here seemed to be cursed!
