4th June
We were sad to leave Paraty, but the concrete jungle (not New York) of Sao Paulo was calling. Our lovely hostel owner gave us a lift to the bus station and before we knew it we were in rainy SP. We arrived quite late but, on lonely planet's strong recommendation we just had to find pizza. After a few wrong turns, we blamed the directions of the street signs we got to Speranza an amazing pizza place situated in an old brothel.

It was still raining today but luckily the metro system (ranked James's number one underground for its efficiency and cost) was cheap and we went to the Museu du Futebol. Ladies, (minus Flynn!) this may sound pretty boring but it wasn't. It was only £2 each and span over 3 floors and included the history of football (James loved this!), naked pictures from a changing room (I loved this!), a cheering stand, table football (I won 2-1), an interactive football game and a penalty shoot-out. This was James's highlight as he shot a 98km/h goal in the top right hand corner and the Brazilians couldn't believe it, the next David Beckham surely! The rain didn't let up so we tried to visit the historic centre but wasn't exactly attractive, but we did see two prostitutes-great cultural experience!

Mummy Mansfield You are the table football champion, I wouldn't expect anything else. Sounds like the weather there is as bad as here but I'm sure it won't dampen your spirits. Glad you are having a good mix of culture and real life. Love these blogs keeps you closer! xx
The Flynnmeister General Thanks for the mention! Sounds like you're having a fab time and seen some good photos on Facebook now as well x
