Up by 5:30 am. Breakfast at the hotel at 6:45: a nice buffet with scrambled eggs, bacon, egg cups, potatoes, assorted fruit, breads, pastries, cereal, coffee, etc. took the shuttle with SherBill at 8 am to the Venice airport, went through security, had our last cappuccino in Italy, and boarded the flight for Atlanta at 10 am.

We survived the 10 1/2 hour flight from Venice and are now in Atlanta awaiting the last leg of our trip home. We should be in Feeding Hills by 10 pm (which will feel like 4 am to us)

It will be hard to come home to an empty house - without our faithful companions of the last 12 years. We will miss our dear Dickens and Dali:-(

Nevertheless, it was a great trip! And we made some wonderful memories:-)
