Hello everybody, arrived safe and sound in Hanoi at 8 pm saturday, had day exploring, and then got overnight train to Sa Pa. The train driver did not have a gentle touch for a break man, and I nearly came off the bunk a couple of times, but it was an experience. We are now checking into the hotel, and have a day aclimatising before setting off on the trek tomorrow. It\'s hot and slighly humid, but lovely. We are very high up in the hills and the views down to the vallys are lovely. Lots of rice terraces, water buffulo (almost caribou!!), people in tradition costume etc.. The photo is completely inappropriate, but they didn\'t have a suitable one. Group seem good fun, and so far I\'m loving it
