Arrived at Sydney Airport at 1pm on the 2nd of December only to find that our flight had been cancelled. We tried to see if would could a flight out to London that day but had no success. Instead we were booked onto a flight on the 3rd at 8am so back home I went. They provided no accommodation or any form of compensation.
We finally set off on our trip, stopping shortly in Singapore where I had brief encounter with the Police because I had left my coat on board. I was happy to get it back.
The flight from Singapore to London was long but we did have the luxury of spreading across 4 seats because the plane was completely empty. Happy days.
Landing in London at night time was amazing. London is massive and you could see many tourist attractions including the London eye. We didn't get to pick up our bags because we had to be re-booked onto another flight to amsterdam for tomorrow mornign and our bags will be transferred to that flight. The BA customer service was great here. They put us up in the Renaissance Hotel in Heathrow, gave us Dinner and Breakfast vouchers and free transport. Its a shame I am too tried to go exploring but will have time later in the trip.
It is an early start tomorrow morning so I must get some sleep. I am not jet-lagged at all which is great. See you in Amsterdam :)
