My seco day in Paris was amazing. I would have to say one of my most enjoyable so far! The day started with our fresh croissants in our apartment and headed out into the city close to midday (yes a sleep in). We took the metro to Trocante to get a distand view of the Eiffel Tower. I took a few too many shots, as I darted through the crowd and the hawkers trying to sell souvernirs. We then went down to the tower and tried to line up for the climb, but when we realized that two of the pillars were closed and how long the line was, we gave it a miss. I tried to take a few more pictures from the other side but there was a lot of construction. I am assumming they were preparing for new years.

Our walk to the Arc de Triomph was slightly up hill and I can tell you now that all this travelling has got me into shape bcoz I did not find it difficult at all.

I had the most beautiful lunch in an Italian restaurant on the champs élysées. It's was a seafood pasta dish and it was just so fresh! Once we had settle our stomachs, it was shopping time on the champs élysées. I found it so HARD not to buy anything. I was so close to buying a pair of givency glasses, and I may still go back and get them. I don't think the bank account will agree with me though. I did buy a beautiful vest though, so I'm prepared for winter back in melbs.

Macaroons... Mums mission was to find number 75, rue de champs élysées... Ladurèe. A famous sweet cafe for the macaroons. And did we find it. The line was in the street. But it was certainly worth the queue.

We came across another Nespresso shop a thought it was a must to do in a famous street in Paris. Although I don't like coffee... I still went ahead and ordered one. It was my first... And very last... Coffee. I still proceeded to finish it... With about 4 sugars in the small mug. That ain't my cup of tea. But the family did enjoy their coffees and it certainly kept me awake for the rest of the night!

Our last stop was th Arc de Triomphe again. We climbed the 150 plus stairs to marvel the night skyline of Paris. It was just beautiful and I didn't want to leave. It just amazed how perfectly aligned each street was... And how many lights surrounded the city. I wasn't able to take any good fotos... But the memory will last. We stayed just long enough to watch the 9pm light show of the Eiffel tower. It wbt for about 15 mins and it was just amazing. So many colours, patterns and timing. Just too clever!

Can't wait to explore more of Paris tomorrow...
