Greetings from Melbourne, Australia!
Hope you're all well...thank you for your replies...it's lovely to hear from you guys!
Sannah: Will give you a check list of things worth doing when you arrive here...you sound like you're loving China!
Sarah: Hong Kong was amazing! I want to go back there to dress shop for your wedding! Great news about the potential property! You'll have to keep me updated on it...how's the bump!? Not long to go now! Have you finished work yet? Looking forward to a cuddle with him or her on my return!
Caryl: Did you manage to get onto facebook okay and see the pics!?
Matt: You and Audrey will love the West end shows! I haven't seen Blood Brothers but Phantom is my absolute favorite! Let me know how goes!
Debs: Thank you for your advice! Doing Philip Island on Sunday...can't wait!
Chris: I couldn't find the wooden caterpillar in the Museum!? I did find a stuffed horse though. Lionel Richie is the answer to your question!
Rich: Thank you for your cousins number...I've also met my match with another big sleeper! A girl we dorm with from Thailand has slept for two days solid! We though she was dead but luckily she was just beating my record!
So we have been in Australia for about 4 days now. At first we weren't keen on it at all...we felt like we could be in any UK city in the world and it was colder than it was in England! However in the short time we have been here it has really grown on us and it really is a fantastic city! There's actually loads to do here, lots of great bars and restaurants,is a very chilled out, relaxing place and has lots of fantastic buildings, beautiful parks and views.
So, so far, we have rode the city circle tram and got lost on public trams!, chilled out and had lunch in Federation Square, seen Parliament, attended Neighbours night which was so much fun! (We got to see Karl Kennedy's band play!), went to Queen Victoria market (I'm going back to buy a Didgeredoo!), been to the Immigration museum, the Melbourne Museum, the Crown Entertainment Center, little Italy, Chinatown and the Greek Precinct.
Tomorrow we're going to St Kilda Beach (I know it's cold but it has to be done!), going to an ice bar and the Eureka Skydeck. We still have lots to do here, as Friday we have hired a car to drive down the great Ocean Road, Saturday we're going to watch an Aussie rules football match at the Melbourne Cricket Ground and Sunday we're going to Phillip Island to see Penguins, Kangaroos and Koalas as well as wine tasting. Thinking of getting a flight to Sydney at some point next week after we have seen all that Melbourne has to offer!
Hope you're all well and hope to hear from you soon
All our love,
Jade and Shanade XXX
