Well hello everybody!

Greetings from Hong Kong! So we arrived here early on Tuesday morning and we had somehow got upgraded to Premiere on the flight which was very nice! We arrived in Kowloon and slept in the park for abit as we were too early to check into our hostel! We were like a right couple of tramps slumming it on the park benches!

We finally managed to check into our hostel which isn't too bad, although the shower is above the toilet! So far we have got the ferry over to Hong Kong Island, rode the largest escalator in the world, eaten lots of chinese food, seen the Man Mo Temple, riden the tram over to Times Square, done lots of window shopping, bought a samari sword (god knows how I'm going to get this thing home!), drank local beer with locals, took the tram up to Victoria Peak to see the best views of the city, wondered through many local markets, rode the MTR (underground/subway) and watched a laser show over the harbour!

Tomorrow we plan to see the Botanical gardens and Saturday we're off to Lantau Island to see the biggest Statue of a Budda!
