The Great Barrier Reef (08.08.2012): Today we went on a snorkel and dive trip with "down under dive" to Norman and Hastings reefs on the Great Barrier Reef. We boarded the boat at 8am. Cairns (Green Island, 07.08.2012): Wow wee. Today we enjoyed a fantastic day at Green Island (Adam's birthday present from his parents). We set off at 9am from the Reef Terminal at Cairns Esplanade on the 'Big Cat' boat. The journey to the island took 1 hour 15 minutes - what a fantastic journey it was. Cairns (06.08.2012): Ouch, 5:30am alarm. A quick change and then a 6am bus ride to Melbourne Airport to catch our 08:50am flight to Cairns arriving at 12:15pm. In 3 hours and 25 minutes we were back in the tropics. YES. Time for suncream, shorts and flip flops again. I loved South Australia and Victoria but it is so nice to be back in the heat. Melbourne (05.08.2012): What a frantic morning. We awoke at 6am to give us enough time to pack and clean the camper inside and out - avoiding the 200 dollar cleaning charge! Cleaning without access to any cleaning supplies is pretty hard work as was the packing - we have accumulated lots of stuff again. The Great Ocean Road (Apollo Bay to Melbourne, 04.08.2012): Today we travelled the 187km from Apollo Bay to Melbourne. Spirits are low as it is our last day in our lovely camper.
