We were up bright and early and knew it was going to be a hot one as we ventured out from the camper van. It was quick breakfast, a stop at the IGA for some dinner groceries, and then off to Australia Zoo! The zoo was busy as it is school holidays but we were one of the first in line to get in and see the amazing exhibits. At 11:30 we went to the Crocoseum to watch a live croc show and to see Bindi Irwin. Bindi had a ½ hour slot before the croc show and Layla had fun dancing to her music. After Bindi's show we were lucky enough to have our croc show hosted by Terri, Bindi, and Robert Irwin. It was fantastic. Leanne though the birds were a bit too close though. We saw all kinds of wildlife at the zoo including: koalas, rhinos, giraffes, echidnas, lizards of all kinds, giant tortoises, wombats, kangaroos, and lots of different crocs and alligators. After the zoo we headed back to the campground for a swim and to prepare for our 12-hour drive to Airlie Beach tomorrow!
