Started the day with another delicious breakfast with fresh croissants, fresh bread and muesli. After breakfast we decided to pack our bags as we planned to be out all day and wouldn't be back until late.
Our first stop for the day was the Louvre museum, which we managed to avoid the massive queue and go straight in just because we are deaf!! I did not expect the museum to be that big! There was too many things to see. I think you need 3 days to be able to see everything!! As we got in free, we decided just to go and see the Mona Lisa and leave. The painting was nothing what I imagined. I expected the painting to be bigger and bit better. Probably because it is so famous I expected it to be jaw dropping wow!
We had our lunch at by the pyramid, with a few pigeons after our food. After lunch, we headed towards the L'Arch De Triomphe. On the way we saw a big painting in the square, which Molly liked.
The arch is in the middle of the roundabout that I wanted to see, as I heard some car insurance doesn't cover the crashes on that roundabout, which sounded really interesting to me! When we arrived, we decided to queue up for the tickets to go up to the top, which once again was free. After about 200 steps to the top, we were treated with a lovely view all around the roundabout. And even got a little treat seeing some cars struggling to get around the roundabout!
After the arch we then went over to the Moulin Rouge theatre, which to our surprise the street had a few strips club and sex shops!
We then went to the underground shopping centre which was next to the Louvre so we had to go back to the same place as we were this morning!! There were not many shops at all.
It was soon dinner time. We ate near the Eiffel Tower, where Molly was lucky enough to have me to treat her to a lovely restaurant. We both had a delicious tasty chocolate du fondue for our pudding. Feeling lovely and full, we went to the Eiffel Tower to see it at night and took a few pictures.
We decided to call it a night at about 10.30pm!
