Got up at half six as we needed to get to the station for our 9am train so we got dressed and got bus to Bastille to get metro to the station.

We bought our breakfast before checking in and as soon we approached to the gates Jacob handed me the Eurostar tickets.

All I saw was 07:43 on the departure box. So I asked Jacob why does it say 07:43? He sort of looked like he was gonna have a heart attack and said 'it was the time when I bought the tickets!!'

It was 8am so we missed our train. I was this close snapping but I kept calm and went in ticket office. Explained we missed train and he asked why so we told him that metro line was closed and we had to use replacement bus. There was actually a closure on the metro and replacements buses which didn't affect us at all! He went off for a bit, we really hoped we didn't have to buy new tickets because they would be extremely expensive!! He came back and said we are going on the next train!!

Jacob was so relieved. To be fair I should have checked the tickets too. He even showed me the tickets night before showing the time of 9am which was our arrival time but very quickly so I didn't check properly!!
So we now have a little story to tell about our lucky escape!

Safe to say we were so relieved to be in the train back home with no problems.

We arrived at Woking about lunch time and I was feeling sad that our travels have ended. But I am happy to be back for home comfort.
