We had our breakfast before finishing off our packing. Luckily the hotel had a luggage room so we were able to leave our bags behind and able to walk around freely. Very pleased with our '1 star' hotel!! Checked out at 11am.
We didn't go to the beach today. We looked around the shops in an alley, which had a few sweet/chocolate shops. I was very impressed that Molly managed to discipline herself and didn't buy anything!! Although she did treat herself to a little apple flan while I had chocolate fingers (which Molly ate a few too!)
After relaxing for a bit we decide to have lunch, our main meal, as we would be on the train during the time we normally eat our main meal. We found a nice looking restaurant called 'Le Grand Caffe'. When we sat down we got free olives, bread with spreads. Molly ordered tagliatelle carbonara while I had langasna with salad. The meal came with free loaf of bread. We couldn't believe our eyes when we saw the size of the meal, I think 2 people could easily eat it and still feel full! Molly was unable to to even eat half, which she was disappointed about as she was really enjoying the meal, and I just managed to finish mine off!
We spent the afternoon just wondering around town as only few hours before our train, so couldn't really do or go anywhere. Our mind were still on the sweet shop! So we went back and bought a bag of sweets for our snack on the train!!
We got ourself some subway to eat on the train before heading back and collecting our bags from the hotel and getting on the train to our last stop, Paris. The train was definitely the best train so far!! Had a luggage rack next to us so it was 'private'. A small bag rack behind our seats, so for the first time we were free of bags completely, while sitting down!!! Forgot how comfortable that is!
We ate our subway, then Molly had her peanuts, which she managed to scatter them all over the seats after ripping it open!!
Arrived at Paris on time. We got the metro to reach to Molly aunt's flat but only to find it was partly closed, so we had to get the replacement bus. When we arrived at the flat, we weren't able to get into the flat, we tried ringing the bell but nobody answered. As we started to get worried, I saw a woman walking down the road and I pointed at her and said hopefully she lives in the same flat block so we could get in. It turned out to be Molly's aunt!! After a while of talking, we finally got into bed at about 1am!!
