We had breakfast at the hotel eating area. The choices were quite good, probably the best on offer so far!

As much we were looking forward to Cannes, we were not looking forward to the journey! 8 hours long and 3 different trains. As we walked to the station Molly said she felt like she has dislocated her shoulder, just started the day and already struggling! The first leg we had nice seats but Molly felt ill for most of the journey due to a funny smell!

As we arrived, she rushed out for the fresh air! As we waited for the next train, we grabbed some lunch. Hopped on to the next train which had compartments but thankfully we had plenty of space as it was half full!

Both of the trains arrived on time so we were definitely safe for the last train as we were slightly worried that one of the trains might be delayed causing problems. Happy to finally get on the last leg of the journey, we sat down and got comfortable. The journey went smoothly until we arrived at Nice where we waited for a long time before we made our way once again! The meant we arrived Cannes half an hour later than planned. So toward the end of the journey we got really restless after 8 half hours!

Arrived at Cannes, and very pleased how it looked. Lovely place! Found the hotel quite easily despite having no map. The hotel was in a fantastic location, very near the station, the beach and right in the middle of the shopping centre. As we went in the hotel we were really impressed how it looked and how nice the room was for a 1 star hotel!

Feeling very happy, we went out for some food. Found the restaurant, Caffe Roma, that my aunt recommended to me and ate there. The food was superb!!
