A lot of driving involved in today getting to Hervey Bay from Airlee beach - it's a total of 10.5 hours but we feel it best to make tracks so we can get good weather at Fraser Island.

We drove the scenic route and found a national park that was supposed to have the most amazing views. Typical us we discover the camper is not meant for such rough roads, the area although beautiful, looked a bit too remote and then we spot a sign threatening to shoot dogs if they trespass - big enough hint for us - we leg it! Not before grabbing a car registration plate that Matt spots on the ground - souvenir central!

It's a long day - we arrive late at night to Paradise Resort at Hervey Bay and crash.
