Today we toured Tom's working opal mine. It was underground. A man called Charlie gave us a tour. There was a big pipe thing that sucked up all the dirt and rocks and stuff and it all came out the top and made a big pile of dirt. There was also a big machine that unfortunately was really badly bogged but everything still worked, it had some blades that spun around and cut into the rock wall. There was a seat that looked like a swing that you sit on and they press a button and it would go up a long hole. We all got to have a turn but we didn't go all the way up. After the tour we went noodling and I found some more potch.
