Hello!!
In Port Macquarie now. Ended up staying in Byron Bay for a whole week extra and left there on saturday. After updating my blog last time we had some extreme rain/ thunderstorms for about 4 days!!! wasnt expecting it being in australia and all ha. So we got stuck in Byron til tuesday becuase the main highway was closed and the worst point was our next stop, Yamba, typical! We actually tred to leave twice, checked out, trekked it down the road to the bus and had the driver tell us it was no good so had to run back to the hostel and get our room back! So when we could leave we decided we would stay becuase we loved the place so much, the staff treated us like staff and we met a lot of cool people, had about 3 different groups of friends come and go while we were there. Byron bay itself was lovely when the sun was out, when it was raining there really wasnt much we could do with out spending anything apart from stay at the hostel, watch dvds! The hostel was oppostie the bar/ resturant we had free dinner for every night wich was good and would then go back every night for a party! When the sun was out we went to the beach and sunbathed, surfed, the usual. My surfing is actually coming on quite well and Miss Malibu is still holding together!
When we did eventually leave we had to miss out Yamba which was a real shame but it was still really bad and has only just re-opened. So we went to Coffs Harbour. The weather here wasnt to good but we tryed to make the most of it, the hostel we stayed at was very nice. We went to the beach when the sun came out and tried to surf there but wasnt great. And we went to a local market and brought some homemade honey!
Yesterday we left and arrived in Port Macqurie and spent the night where again, it was raining!! but to day the sun has come out and its a nice little place. Walked down to the beach this morning and wrote a few messages on the rocks and maybe going to the koala hospital later today. Tonight we are leave for Newcastle as we are running out of time to get back to Sydney. After Newcaslte we plan to visit Tallys family friend for the day then go back to some of Sydneys northern beaches like Manly and Collaroy! Only about 12 days left :( so wil make the most of it, even if it is raining!!
