An early start we managed to cram a lot of activities in our single day in Oudtshorn.
Oudtshorn is in fact like a dessert and is surrounded by huge mountain ranges therefore whilst leaving them lush and green, Oudtshorn is dry and barren. Today was due to hit 47degrees centigrade.
First stop was the Cango caves, apart from the skull numbingly boating guide, the caves were pretty impressive. I was very thankful to be out of the sun and into the natural cold and damn that the caves offered.
Next we were due to ride an ostrich. Cango ostrich farm provided this quite unique experience on one of it's less feathered beasts. Standing on eggs and feeding was also part of this odd experience. Ostriches are weird creatures but their fillets make one of the best steaks I have ever eaten.

Finally Tom and I stooped at the Cango wildlife park. A large array of animals from Malawian fish to White lions. I especially liked the display of jumping crocodiles that launched clean out of the water for a chicken leg or two. Tom finished the day by cage diving with crocodiles, he got a good deal too.

To end a busy day we managed to watch the second half of the England France rugby game. England 19-9 France.
