Hi Everyone
Well from the last blogg supplied by Jck on his thrilling adventure of Skydiving we have been taking it easy and enjoying the time we have left in the South Island. We ventured up to the Franz Josef glacier where we did a whole day (8 hour) wlk up the galcier and it was fantastic. We had a great guide, Sam, a young guy form Oz who cut steps into the ice for us to help is climb up it. We had a group of about 10 and everyone seemed to enjoy their day. We climbed in small ice caverns and saw ice falls and even crawled through an ice tunnel (i cut my knee doing it but i survived). The next moring we were too tired to go anywhere so we booked into the camp site for another night which was lucky as Jacks Step cousin, Matty was arriving to the same site that day on the Kiwi Expereince bus. We met up with him that night and Jack was really happy to hear the twang of another boro accent. We evern extented to a few drinks in the bar that night, soething we havent done in a while as the budget doesnt normally stretch that far.
We then headed back up toward Hokitika and stayed there a night. I had a look in the Jade factory but the budget definately wouldnt stretch that far !!!!!!!! It rained so much yesterday that we just drove and drove and ended back up in Nelson so weve booked in for 2 nights at the nice little camp site we stayed at before and were off the the cinema tonight to watch The Last King of Scotland. Tomorrow were venturing up to Picton to catch th ferry over to the North Island then we will be picking mom and dad up from the airport on the 15th, it will be good to see them.
Anyway off to look at places to stay in Fiji now so we will write again soon
Take care
Love Liz and Jack xx
