Hi everyone,

I thought it was about time I wrote a journal entry rather than leaving it to Liz all the time. Well what can I say New Zealand is incredible, absolutely beautiful. We've hired a car with a roof box that converts into a sleeping compartment. Having the freedom to travel around and stop where you like is a bit of a revelation. Liz seems to be enjoying doing all the driving but she does keep gazing out her side window rather than on the road, but I dont blame her. We have travelled from Christchurch over to the other coast where we have met up with some friends Sarah n Neil and have since been travelling around the South island with them. Its amazing the way the surrounding terrain changes and its all breath taking. We went on a brewery tour which was pretty boring until the end where we got to try all the beers and then got 10 minutes to try our favourite beers over and over again, which me and Neil especially enjoyed.

I think Liz is slowly turning into a gypsy as she keeps buying these gypsy trinkets and has started muttering gypsy curses under her breath but its ok if she does turn gypsy I have carved a sharp gypsy killing stick and will do what is necessary.

We are now past half way through our travels and the effects of Liz spending all her time with me is taking its tole, she has started picking up bits of my boro accent which is really annoying her but its definately an improvement from the last habit she picked up which was to go up at the end of her sentences which all the Aussies do. She is now dropping her 't's and saying "sound". So I'm hoping with another 3 months I'll have her totally coverted.

We've only been in our car camping for 3 nights and I think Liz is finding the camping lifestyle a little stressful, so she keeps re arranging things and trying to organise me so the car isnt such a mess. She also keeps "losing" the car keys and blaming me but they always seem to be in one of her pockets or bag.

We havent booked any of our extreme activities yet but are planning on doing so soon, I'm even looking into doing cage diving next week. Hopefully we will be able to put some more photos on soon and keep you all updated. Hope everyone is well and enjoying things
