Last weekend we decided to take a trip to Adam's familys bach (like a holiday home) which is at Lake Rotoara, just south of Taupo. It took about 3 hours to get there, so it was a good test for Reggie who had no problems - he's so much better than Mr Jingles!!!

We got there late in the evening and had fish and chips for tea. The bach is so cool, it's right on the lake and has a fire and everything! The next morning we went out fishing on the little boat. I caught 2 trout (we kept one for dinner) and Chloe caught one too which she threw back, but i think it died from shock....!

Jack got to drive the boat which he was pleased about, so he didn't bother fishing! We were up at 7.30 to do that, so when we got back we cooked bacon and eggs for breakfast on the bbq!

On the trip home we stopped off at a few tourist attractions - the first one was Hukka falls which was pretty impressive - the water goes so fast, wouldn't like to fall in there! Then we stopped at puzzle world, which was pretty rubbish, we drove some remote control boats and that was about it... Then we stopped at adventure land! We were going to go quad biking, but it was too expensive ($20 for 10 mins!!) so we decided to hire bmx bikes and did that instead!! The track was lame so we didn't do that for very long. After that we decided to feed the animals - sheep, goats, pigs... it was a busy day!!!!

We got back later that evening and had green chilli trout (yum!) for dinner.
