The next couple of days at Guarda were good, but it was pretty rainy so we didnt do much. The guys at the hostel we were staying at were great and helped us to buy our bus ticket to Porto Alegre. We had also met another couple of guys there, Matheus and Leonardo who also live in Porto Alegre. The bus was at midnight, another overnighter and we got to Porto Alegre at 7am, then jumped on a bus for another 2 hours north where Alex and Will )who we met in New Zeal...

The bus journey from Paraty to Sau Paulo was actually ok, it left at 11.30pm and we got into sau paulo bus station at 4.30am. The bus was comfortable and seemed to go pretty quickly. When we got there we bought another ticket to get to Curitiba, and the next one was at 7am so we had a couple of hours to wait. We got on the bus, which was a little less comfy than the last one but it was ok. We got into Curitiba about 2.00pm, and went to find somewhere to stay....

The last few days has been great, we had such a nice time in Trindade. We did the boat trip, which we all went on the bus to Paraty and then hired a boat which cost 30 reil each (there was 11 of us) which is about 12 pounds. we got on the boat at 11.30am, there were free caipirinhas all day.... sun, shade, lots of beaches, diving off the boat, lots of caipirinhas... we also saw some monkeys and got onto the island to feed them bananas, itwas really cool, we ha...

Rio was hot hot hot! We actually saw a temperature thingy which said it was 45 degrees one day! So, it is a little uncomfortable as you can imagine. The hostel we were staying in was nice, we met lots of people there. The first day we got there we went to the beach with Felipe, it was great having him around to speak the lingo!
