So we arrived in byron bay in the rain after a few interesting days in Kurri Kurri (mostly because of the weather and our incessive need to find this surfshop).

It took just over 10 hours by bus to get from newcastle to byron (most of which i spent listening to a drunk girl throw up...kids eh ;)

Arriving in the rain we checked into the hostel and tried to come up with rainy day plans, only to be pleasantly suprised that the weather had completely turned and we managed to go to the beach! The beach here is ace, but there is a very strong current and massive waves, but none the less good fun!

We then went home washed the copius amounts of sand out our hair and went to a place called cheeky monkeys for dinner! We paid $5 for our main course and managed to get a free drink with this, a jug of beer and free garlic bread, so all in all the best money spent since coming to oz!! Although we did get asked one too many times to join the wet t-shirt contest, but we all politely refused!

Day two in byron statred off promising so we headed down to the beach early, prepared with body boards and all! And once again....the weather completely turned and we ended up getting rained off the beach!! So we headed back to the hostel and had some lunch (bread with jam)and waited for the rain to pass, which it did! and we wondered into town and went window shopping and found the supermarket to buy somecheap dinner (30 cent noodles were on the menu tonight). Tomorrow we dont know what we are doing as it all depends on the weather and sunday we are off to surfers paradise for 4 nights so im sure i will fill you in then!
