Kalbarri to Denham Started off with some sunshine early this morning which looked promising but it didn't last long. Left the caravan park about 10am. First stop Rainbow Jungle which is a bird park just outside the town. Lots of parrots, cockatoos etc. very pretty birds. We spent about two hours there. Left for the trip up to Denham about 12.00. Geraldton - Kalbarri Cool, cloudy and rainy. 19 degrees So time at last to leave Geraldton, after arriving here 9 days ago for what was supposed to be a one night stay! Rather miserable morning, raining and very cool breeze. Back to the pants and jumpers. We left about 10 for the two hour drive to Kalbarri. It rained for most of the trip. Geraldton Cool and rainy today, only about 19 degrees and quite windy too. We will be so glad when we finally head up further north and get some much warmer weather. Went back to the hospital to get a blood test done, and then drove up to the HMAS Sydney memorial which is on the hill overlooking the town. Well.... All our plans last week just went very belly up within the space of a few minutes!!! Last Thursday, one week ago today, we left Cervantes at about 10am. We went to see the Pinnacles which were only about 20 minutes to the south. As it is in a national park there is a charge of $12 per vehicle to get in. We were planning on going to quite a few national parks during the trip so decided to get the 4 week pass for $44. The pinnacles were interesting but...
