Today we went back to our favourite beach here on Koh Samui, Lipanoi. We found this beach when we were here a few years ago and still love it. It is a very clear white sandy beach, but unfortunately is becoming a bit more commercialised now with a few more resorts than there was a few years ago. Another lazy, lazy day today. Just perfect. The housekeeper came in and cleaned the house while we just sat on the veranda and read- think I could get used to this!! Haha!! She had just finished at 12.00- which was perfect timing for the footy, which was just about to start- Geelong vs Hawthorn. What a great match! So glad we stayed home for it, although I think Lauri thought otherwise!! It did rain during part of the match too so perfect excuse to not go ...

After breakfast, we rode down to Chaweng. First went to see a tailor to make some pants and shirts for Justin. After a bit of bargaining with him we got him to make 10 shirts and 5 pairs of pants for 11200 baht - about $350. They will be ready on Wednesday. Had an icecream sundae at Swensens, (that was lunch), and then went on down to Lamai Beach where we had a swim - not too impressed with the beach there though, very busy, not too clean and rough water. Having a lazy day today. Went for a swim at the beach before breakfast. We cooked up a bacon and egg breakfast at about 11.00 (brunch really). And now have spent the rest of the afternoon by the pool, just swimming and reading. Beautiful weather today, lots of sunshine and a lovely breeze. I think we have had enough sun now, it is after 4, so back under the veranda for a cool drink.

We arrived here last night about 6 pm. The ferry left about 45 mins late but the crossing was nice and smooth, although there were no seats inside so for much of it were outside in the hot sun. It took about 2 hours. Got a taxi - very expensive for taxis in Koh Samui - he wanted 400 baht for a five minute trip, got it for 350, about $11 which was still ridiculous really. But they all seem to be the same here, much more expensive than other parts of Thailand. S...
