Montefegatasi..... Slept in this morning... And then after breakfast just some gardening, washing etc. then we took Bengy for a long walk in the forest, up and up in the hills, very pretty. First time we let him off the lead.. He loved it! He was really funny too as he reminded us of Mischa! He would run ahead and then around a bend and the next thing he would run back to check we were still coming! Later in the afternoon we went for a drive to Montefegatas...

Exploring the Ancient Villages of the Garfagnana...... Today we drove up into the Tuscan Hills to see some of the many little villages and towns scattered around. Wow!! The scenery here is just amazing! Everywhere you look there are beautiful green hills with houses built quite literally on the side of them! Quaint little stone villages everywhere. Lovely Lucca!!! This morning we took the bus to Lucca- a wonderful old walled city about half an hour south of here. It is a beautiful city, most of the buildings are centuries old, and the narrow streets weave their way through many piazzas on old cobblestone streets. We just loved it! And bicycles everywhere! Quite clearly the easiest way to get around! The wall surrounding the whole city was built in the 11th and 12th century and is one of the few cities...

Happy hour at Villa Ambrogi...... Another beautiful sunny day.... Although not so hot, about 31 today. We have heard how cold it is in Melbourne at the moment, apparently well below zero for the past few nights at home, which is much lower than usual. So glad we are missing that! Another lazy day in Paradise..... Today was a very hot one... Up to 37! The weather here has just been perfect ever since we arrived. Just a hint of a breeze and sunny skies. Had a very quiet lazy day today. Went for a walk in the late morning, it was already mid 30's and then stopped off at the Caffe del Sonno for lunch.
