Day at the beach!!

Drove along the beach past Giardini Naxos ( which was very busy), and down to the beach at San Marcos. Another local beach rather than a tourist beach. It was lovely there. Pebbled beach, and miles long, but the water was so clear. Unlike the water at home. No sand thrown up in it, no seaweed. Lots and lots of families on the beach- the Italians are very family oriented and we have noticed how they are all so good with the little ones and there is always lots of fun and laughter. And young boys playing briscola with their dads and Nonno.

Spent most of the afternoon there, swimming and lazing in the sun. We came back about 6pm and then headed off down the steps again into Taormina for dinner. I decided to dress for the occasion, but I wore my thongs for the steps down and changed into my high shoes when we got into town. Had dinner down there before the trek back up.. Didn't make a mistake this time with the steps!! So all good, but, OMG have we had some exercise on this trip!!
