Last night of the cruise...arrived in beautiful Venice.... We were at sea all day yesterday, so had a very lazy day. Slept in late and then went to brunch at about midday. Then spent the day around the pool, snoozing. This morning we arrived in Venice. Wow!! The most spectacular sail in to port you will ever see! Day 2 of the cruise....Napoli! Woke up to the most amazing sunrise from our balcony this morning. The sea has been calm all night and we slept so well. Day 1 of our beautiful cruise!!! Up early this morning as we had to leave for our 9.30 am flight from Catania to Rome. Lucky we did leave early as they had only two checkins open and the queue was very long. After a short 50 minute flight we arrived in Rome. A bit of a dilemma day!!!! We are flying to Rome tomorrow and according to our Alitalia flight info we needed to check in online today. Said it was necessary that we check in online. The check in was only open for 24 hours before the flight. So today was the day to do it! We have no wifi here at the apartment so we need to go down to Taormina to check in. We decided to drive down there rather than walk all the steps as we will drive to another beach later. So ...

Day at the beach!! Drove along the beach past Giardini Naxos ( which was very busy), and down to the beach at San Marcos. Another local beach rather than a tourist beach. It was lovely there.
