Today off on a full day tour to the Mekong Delta
After a 2 hour bus ride we went on boat ride past a number of small inhabited islands in the delta and got off at a coconut farm where they make coconut candy and various other coconut goodies. Rice paper making and the old Python around the neck thing for Josh but not A or V
Then onto a sort of motorized tuk tuk thing for a ride through the back lanes to a typical family home for some fantastic fresh fruit followed by more tuk tuk to a lunch venue in the forest / jungle which was great - a range of traditional Mekong Delta dishes
Then onto a Sanpan boat (3 to a boat) where Alan s*** himself getting on and off and for al parts in between but it was a peaceful row along a narrow stream to where we met up with the main boat for the trip back to the bus and return to HCM City
Last night of the tour with Bruce as our leader - he has been amazing and we have benefited so much from his knowledge of Vietnam and passion for the people
Special dinner at KOTO Saigon tonight - excellent food (paid for by Intrepid), some drinks and a "pass the parcel" type game which was fun
Farewells said to Bruce and back to the hotel
