Alarm at 4 am to get bus at 5am to Danang Airport for flight to HCM City / Saigon
Arrived and in hotel by 9.30 and our rooms were ready!
Bruce walked us to the park to see the singing birds but they had gone so we went to a bakery near the hotel for brunch
Then back to the hotel till 2.30pm when we went on a bus tour of the city
First to the War Remnants Museum which was very interesting and quite confronting because it was a period of history we lived through in our late teens
Then to the "Notre Dame Cathedral" and the magnificent French Colonial Post Office building followed by a drive along the river etc
Tonight we walked to the backpacker district which is a real buzz and had dinner at a traditional restaurant in the midst of it all
