We're in Long Beach, Mississippi.We had a great time in New Orleans, lots of fun stuff to do.We finally got a nice day to be able to cross Lake Pontchartrain and the Rigolets.We anchored at Rabbit Island.We didn't like it there.It had really strange currents.It was very stressful and hard to find a proper spot that we could swing a full circle.While she was anchored, Zephia was pointing away from the wind with the anchor rode extending underneath her.How are you ...

The weather is supposed to be decent Tues through Thurs so we are planning on taking off tomorrow (Tues) morning for an anchorage at Rabbit Island and then probably go to Gulfport, Mississippi and probably one more stop and then we'll should be in Florida. We have settled into New Orleans. We really love it here! We've decided that we are actually enjoying the cruising lifestyle now! The weather has been stormy, so its giving us an excuse to stay even longer. We are staying at the New Orleans Municipal marina. We have a great slip in a wonderful location near buses and shopping.
