Well....we are now in Harvey, LA about 4 miles west of the Harvey Locks and Mississippi River. We are watching the weather and waiting for the winds to stop blowing out of the east. It makes for a slow bumpy ride when you are trying to travel into the wind (an of course you can't sail either). We have had a great few days in Houma, LA. The weather has been fantastic! We will be leaving Houma in the morning and heading towards New Orleans. We will probably anchor out in Lake San Salvador tomorrow night or Boomtown casino beforing heading through the Harvey Locks and Mississippi Sound. We just returned from England early this morning...around 12:30 am. What a great time we had with Elliott, Dana and Paul! Elliott is such a wonderful baby. He is so happy and entertaining. He loves music, likes to dance, jabbers non-stop, gets into everything, swim, play, and smile (most of the time). We checked the weather yesterday and they are saying that the nights are going to be in the 30's next week too. So we would either have to take off in the cold weather or pay for another month's of slip rent. We've been planning on going to England at the end of March. So we finally came to the realization that instead of trying to travel on the sailboat in the cold weather, we should go to England now and then head for Florida in the boat when it is warmer. So...

We're still in Lake Charles. We were planning on leaving today, but now they are forecasting two cold fronts for this week... So we'll hang out a while longer. Its not much fun when its 30 degrees outside and you don't hae any heat. We've been checking out places to park for a while (if we get out of here) and Pensacola, FL and Orange Beach, AL are looking interesting. We're looking forward to getting somewhere warm with white sandy beaches.
