Well, we tried to escape Bimini today. We had a decent weather forecast, we had a plan for getting out with the tides, and we had a pretty good idea where the exit channel was (its not marked and it moves around). We're liking Bimini a lot! We'd be happy living here. Went to Edith's Pizza yesterday for a fanastic lobster and conch pizza! Lunches aren't cheap here though, expect to spend $40 for lunch. We took the weather window on Sunday the 2nd to cross to Bimini. We had been waiting for four weeks for decent weather. We motored all the way with a 12-14 SE true headwind (17 apparent). It was slow going, just 4 knots the first half of the trip. We had 2-4' wave forecast and thats what we got. Some a lot bigger, but 2-4's on average. We're in Miami waiting for a weather window to cross over to the Bahamas. There might be a chance to get across on Christmas day. We'll let everyone know if we do try to cross then.
