We're in Miami Beach now. The Miami area is really great! Lots of really good anchorages and tons of stuff to check out on shore. We are anchored in Sunset Lake right now. Multimillion dollar houses all around us. It still must be spring breeak here. One of the houses had a rave last night till one in the morning. Pam and I slept with cotton in our ears it was so loud! It was pretty cool sailing through downtown Miami, all the skyscrapers and boat traffic...

Pam and I are really enjoying Key Largo. We are also taking care of all our income tax stuff. We'll be exploring the Keys til April 21 and then we fly to England to see Dana, Paul, Elliott and our new grand daughter! We'll return on May 24. We've made friends with the owners of the Paradise Pub. A must stop in Key Largo! One of the owners is letting us park Zephia behind his mansion here in Key Largo, while we are in England.

Sorry about the long time since I updated the blog. I've been working on a major project. The stuffing box would always leak after we motored for just a short amount of time. The old engine mounts had sagged so much that the propeller shaft was almost rubbing on the bottom of the stuffing box! It looked fine from above (where I could see) but when I tried to run a small allen wrench under the shaft, I could tell that there was hardly any space... I tried rea...

Merry Christmas everyone! We left Tarpon Springs, FL on 12-7-09. Unfortunately we tried to leave the marina at low tide with a very strong river current coming in. OMG!!!! Steve backed out of the slip and Zephia couldn't move. We went aground and Zephia couldn't get away from the pilings since the current was pushing us into them so hard.
