Saturday 21st Feb.
So hard to believe I have only been here for a week, feels like ages and feels like no time atall at the same time.
Thursday, I spent the morning at a local school, meeting the kids and looking around. *Gasp*, yes, I know, I don't really even like children, but I ummed and ahhed for ages and finally decided to give it a go. I was petrified on the way there, terrified of being shoved infront of a class and told to entertain them!
As it was, that was exactly what happened! Was put infront of a class, with 4other girls and told to sing or play with them, luckily a co-ordinater was there to help us out, and we ended up just saying a few basic things in english, then singing "heads sholders knees and toes". So the school was aweome, the kids were so friendly and cute, you can tell that they don't see many tourists here because every kid we see is so fascinated by us and friendly and they all want their pictures taken!
Thursday afternoon had another Thai language lesson (too hot for my brain to take anything in! 33C!) then a cooking lesson. In the evening, we went into Singburi town for a couple of hours, then to anohter of the realgap eco houses, "Twin house", which is bigger than lemon house, with a better stocked bar and lots of new interesting people! They sell jugs of cocktails for 70-170B (1-3pounds), so everyone got very drunk, sang karaoke and generally had fun! Got a taxi back at 1am, so cramped!
Friday was a full-ish day, not idea with a hangover, but it was ok. We went in the morning to LopBuri town, in LopBuri province, which is monkey town! An old story about how the monkeys were there before the humans, and the monkey god built the town, so now the people living there allow the monkeys to roam throughout the town and don't hurt or kill them. Lunch, sitting on the floor from a low table, then afternoon a temple. Evening film etc.
Then today, 4hours in the sun beside a pool, managed not to put sunblock on my legs... so red! So sore!
This evening is another party at the twin house, theme: cross-dressing, we are dressing as ladyboys!
Got to go!
