Fran I think I will seriously consider in in the future. The landscape certainly looks amazing from the snippets I’ve seen from your shots and if the people are friendly that makes a big difference, particularly when one doesn't speak the language or know what they’re doing! I would have a car if I went but arghhh the stresses of driving in another country 😂 Thats another good reason you want somewhere with friendly, and preferably very patient people!! Enjoy your last day.
re: Ag Nik, Potamos beach and a day relaxing by the poolImo I would! As the climate is great, the people are lovely, the landscape is amazing with mountains and sea / beaches, there is really interesting historical stuff, great hiking and I hear the food is good :) caveat would be that Crete is actually pretty big, I’ve only visited part of the northeast coast - there is loads to do and see in the northwest and the south coast is very different altogether as it’s much less developed touristically. I guess also it might be good to visit with a car, the buses were great but I did feel like I spent a long time on buses and there were some places I wanted to visit but couldn’t as they weren’t reachable by public transport or the buses were only once a day, stuff like that ……
re: Ag Nik, Potamos beach and a day relaxing by the poolFran So all in all would you recommend Crete as somewhere to visit?
re: Ag Nik, Potamos beach and a day relaxing by the poolChris Page Oh Imo! it's just like being there! I yearn for Australia reading your blogs! So glad I will be there again in just over 4 weeks!
re: Goodbye Australia!Nicky Mon Hi Imo Your descriptions Oz of really make my spine tingle. I can so just picture it. I'm gonna have to go again. Down the track next time I've done a bit of it but not all. Really glad you seemed to have enjoyed your trip. Oops gave you a one star rating instead of five.
re: Goodbye Australia!Mamaxx I reckon you should tell the library staff that you're a fellow worker. They might have just as many questions they'd like to ask you, as you them!
re: Last days in PerthFreya Sounds like you're packing lots into the last couple of days! Glad you got to see Perth in a different light :) xxx
re: Last days in PerthNicky Mon OMG Imo, I know theres a lot of emptiness up where you are but it sounds so much like ' home' to me. Actually all of Oz feels like home and its where I should have been born. And your natural writing style does it justice and is a joy to read. Enjoy the rest of your trip. PS During my first trip to Oz back in 99, Exmouth blew down, but I've never been there.
re: Perth -> Coral BayFelicity Brilliant few days - glad you're enjoying it. I wonder if Exmouth was founded by someone from Devon!
re: Perth -> Coral BayFreya Love this Imo! It sounds great, and good to know what you've been doing. A kamikaze driver with a love of aquaplaning... haha. Challenges and new things are good and it sounds like it's going well!xxx
re: Perthgabby saulsbery i met nimbin bob marley on the bus in sydney. interesting fellow!
re: Nimbin, New South WalesMama Sounds absolutely brilliant and I am SO glad that you managed to avoid breaking anything other than other people's legs whilst on skis! And perhaps as well as rolling, the seals had wee'd which would have helped that smell enrich itself and thus make your naming entirely apt.
re: Skiing and some Easterly stuff, New Zealand- last visited
- travel plan
- Perth, Western Australia
